Ibrahim Isah, a 24-year-old cattle herder of Fulani descent, has been abducted by suspected armed bandits in Benue State.
On March 18, while the victim was looking after his herd near Ondudaje Village in Otukpo Local Government Area, the incident took place.
As per security analyst Zagazola Makama, the assailants subsequently contacted his family members via his phone and requested a ransom of N4 million to be transferred into a Moniepoint account.
As a reaction, security operatives, comprising the Otukpo patrol team and various tactical units, have initiated searches of adjacent forests to find the attackers, ensure the victim’s release, and carry out arrests.
