BIAFRA: Any insult on Gowon will not be tolerated henceforth – Arewa group warns Igbo leaders

The leader of the Arewa tribe urged other Eastern leaders to summon their people to order.

Former military Head of State of Nigeria, General Yakubu Gowon, rtd., has been the target of insults. Arewa in the South leader Musa Saidu has responded.

Recall that Gowon informed President Bola Tinubu during a visit to the presidential residence that he was being accused of being too slow to pursue the Biafra civil war.

Nigerians reacted angrily to his statement, accusing him of praising the Igbo murders that occurred during the civil war.

Saidu issued a statement in response to the criticism, stating that it was absurd for anyone to disrespect the former country’s leader.

The leader of the Arewa tribe urged other Eastern chiefs to summon their people to order.

He lamented how bad things had become to the point where a half-n3ked girl on TikTok dared criticise the former leader of the country.

He said that Gowon just took action to maintain the nation’s unity and that he did not declare war on the Nigerian state.

He said, “The attack on General Gowon is getting out of hand. Gowon only protected the country from disintegration. Gowon did not start the war against Nigeria. He only defended the unity of the country as Head of State, which any patriotic leader would do.

“What has Gowon done that even in TikTok, they are insulting him? The insult is too much. I saw a girl half n3ked insulting Gowon on TikTok. This should stop. Enough is enough.

“Why is it that Yakubu Gowon made a statement and he should be attacked. We have gone beyond where some of our Igbo brothers want to drag us to. We all should begin to focus on building our dear country Nigeria.”
