Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj has been named the greatest female rapper of all time by Billboard.

The publication’s list of the Best Female Rappers of All Time, compiled by Billboard staff, also includes iconic hip-hop figures like Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill, and Queen Latifah.

Surprisingly, Minaj’s contemporaries, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, were ranked outside the top 10.

Nicki Minaj claimed the top spot, followed by Missy Elliott at number 2, Lauryn Hill at 3, Lil’ Kim at 4, and Queen Latifah at 5.

Rounding out the top 10 were MC Lyte, Salt-N-Pepa, Roxanne Shanté, Eve, and Foxy Brown.

Cardi B was placed at number 11, while Megan Thee Stallion came in at number 15.

Although widely regarded as the greatest female rapper in history by many, Nicki Minaj has yet to win a Grammy. Meanwhile, her rivals, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion, have both received Grammy Awards in rap categories.
