The election of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has been upheld by the Federal Court of Appeal, which is based in Akure, the capital of Ondo State.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) platform was used to elect the governor.
According to ZINGTIE, Aiyedatiwa’s victory was previously upheld by the Ondo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal.
The opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and its candidate for governor, Agboola Ajayi, submitted petitions contesting the election results, but the tribunal rejected them.
