BREAKING: Israel declares Somaliland independent, sovereign state

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli Prime Minister, has declared the Republic of Somaliland an independent and sovereign state.

Netanyahu made the announcement in a statement posted on his verified X handle on Friday.

The Israeli Prime Minister stated that he signed the joint and mutual statement with Foreign Minister Sa’ar and President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Mohamed Abdallah.

He noted that the declaration is in the spirit of the Abraham Accords, which were signed at the initiative of US President Donald Trump.

According to him, the State of Israel intends to quickly extend its connections with the Republic of Somaliland through broad collaboration in agriculture, health, technology, and business.

He stated that President Abdallah welcomed the historic declaration and thanked him for his efforts to combat terrorism and promote regional peace.

“I announced today the official recognition of the Republic of Somaliland as an independent and sovereign state,” Netanyahu told the media.
