Following Nnamdi Kanu’s life sentence, a self-described commander of the Biafra Liberation Army, C-ROZ, has made serious threats.
Reactions to Nnamdi Kanu’s life sentence have persisted throughout the South East.
The IPOB leader was given a life sentence on November 20, 2025, by Justice James Omotosho of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Communities’ reactions to the ruling have been conflicting, with some locals voicing concern that it would spark unrest.
In response to Nnamdi Kanu’s life sentence, C-ROZ said on his official X account that a lot of individuals in the South East disregarded his order to stay at home that day.
He expressed indignation about the situation and asserted that security deployments throughout the region were intended to prevent compliance.
C‑ROZ wrote:“I promise everyone henceforth you all shall see fire for fire. I made a post ordering sit at home on the 20th. Immediately after the post, Nigeria sent all their armies to Biafra land to make sure they disrupt the sit at home order.
“But guess what, many of the Nigeria army paid the price. May they rest in pieces. Now I said please come again. All of you in the zoo will see hell henceforth. This is my promise.”
His remarks have heightened worries about potential dangers to regional peace.
