Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has finally made it to the state capital, Port Harcourt, after being reinstated by President Bola Tinubu.
Around 11:50 a.m. on Friday, Fubara touched down at the Port Harcourt International Airport.
More than twenty-four hours have passed since Tinubu lifted the state’s six-month emergency rule.
A group of fans who had gathered at the Port Harcourt International Airport’s VIP wing to anticipate the governor’s arrival welcomed him.
The House of Assembly reconvened Thursday, according to ZINGTIE.
But even though hundreds of supporters had assembled to greet him, Fubara did not appear at the Government House.
