According to reports, the PDP group led by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike was expelled from the party secretariat by governors Seyi Makinde, Bala Mohammed, and Taminu Turaki, the recently elected National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Tensions surrounding the feuding factions’ attempts to hold simultaneous meetings at the PDP headquarters in Abuja on Monday led to the development.

According to ZINGTIE, the group supported by Wike and the National Working Committee (NWC), which was elected in Ibadan, Oyo State, had planned meetings for the same day.
The pro-Wike faction’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu, had arrived at Wadata Plaza with a few of his supporters. However, a fight allegedly broke out at the PDP secretariat, forcing the Wike faction to leave the premises.
But in order to hold their NEC meeting, Makinde, Bala Mohammed, and PDP National Chairman Turaki barged into the PDP NEC hall.
