The PDP’s chairman, Chief Adolphus Wabara, and the Board of Trustees, or BoT, have been suspended.

ZINGTIE discovered that Wabara was suspended by the Abia State party’s State Working Committee, or SWC.

A party insider claims that Abraham Amah, the State Chairman, chaired the meeting where the decision was made.

Amah acknowledged Wabara’s suspension when approached by ZINGTIE and promised to provide more information.

“Yes it is true, he has been suspended”, Amah told ZINGTIE.

This is thought to be a continuation of the power struggle between Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the former PDP presidential candidate, and supporters of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

The Abia PDP is firmly under the influence of Okezie Ikpeazu, Wike’s man and former governor.
