Manchester United has fired Ruben Amorim as manager.
This follows Amorim’s comments following their 1-1 draw with Leeds United on Sunday.
In a fiery press conference, the Portuguese chastised United’s hierarchy and urged them to “do their jobs”.
Darren Fletcher, Manchester United’s U18 coach, will lead the senior team till further notice.
This follows the club’s decision to fire Ruben Amorim as manager on Monday.
Amorim was fired after meeting with Jason Wilcox, the director of football, and Omar Berrada, the CEO, this morning.
Wilcox and Berrada notified the 40-year-old that he will be relieved of his duties.
Amorim then said his farewell to the players before leaving United’s Carrington training facility.
Fletcher is now scheduled to take command of Wednesday’s Premier League match at Burnley.
The Red Devils are currently in sixth place with 31 points from 20 games.
