Jamie Carragher, a Liverpool legend, has forecasted that the Reds will make it to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League, despite their ‘bad result’ against Galatasaray.

On Tuesday in Turkey, Galatasaray won 1-0 against Liverpool in the first leg of the Champions League Round of 16.

Next week, the Turkish Super Lig giants will play Liverpool in the return leg at Anfield.

Carragher, however, thinks that Arne Slot’s team will defeat Galatasaray and advance to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Speaking on CBS Sports, the Englishman remarked after the match, “This was a bad in the end for Liverpool.

“Bad result, really poor in the second half as well. First-half started well, but I don’t think Galatasaray had a great team. It is still a team Liverpool should beat and should go through.

“So, I am still 98 per cent Liverpool will go through to the quarter-final,” he said.
