The leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, or PANDEF, Edwin Clark, passed away.

The senior statesman passed away at the age of 97, according to ZINGTIE.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Prof. C. C. Clark, a family spokesman, acknowledged the death of the former South-South leader and Federal Commissioner for Information.

The statement read, “The Clark-Fuludu Bekederemo family of Kiagbodo Town, Delta State, wishes to announce the passing of Chief (Dr.) Sen. Edwin Kiagbodo Clark, OFR, CON, on Monday, 17th February 2025.

“The family appreciates your prayers at this time. Other details will be announced later by the family.”

Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the well-known leader of the pan-Yoruba sociocultural organization Afenifere, passed away at the age of 96 just three days prior.
