According to experts, Osama bin Laden’s son Hamza bin Laden is still alive and still in charge of al-Qaeda.
Hamza, 34, was supposedly based in Jalalabad, a recognised terrorist hotspot east of Kabul, and was lastly reported killed in 2019.
According to UK Mirror, the revelation is now giving rise to grave concerns regarding the perpetuation of Osama bin Laden’s legacy as well as the possibility of additional acts of terrorism and violence.
The report claims that Hamza, also referred to as the “Crown Prince of Terror,” and his brother Abdullah are secretly in charge of the terrorist network.
According to the article, there is indication from intelligence that both brothers have formed a militant family.
They are believed to have links to other international extremist groups and to have ten significant terror training centres in Afghanistan.
The investigation also disclosed that Hamza maintains training camps where he instructs fighters and suicide bombers on how to sneak out of Afghanistan and threaten targets in the West.
“Hamza bin Laden is not only alive but actively involved in al-Qaeda’s resurgence, a fact well-known among senior Taliban leaders. These leaders engage with him, holding regular meetings and securing him and his family,” a report seen by the Mirror stated.
