BREAKING: Rivers Sole Administrator arrives Government House in Port Harcourt, assumes duty

The Rivers Sole Administrator has reached Port Harcourt’s Government House.

He is currently meeting behind closed doors with representatives from the State Government, Federal Government delegation, and Senior Security Officers.

Recall that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu swore him in on Wednesday.

In addition to suspending all members of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Governor Siminalayi Fubara, and Deputy Governor Ngozi Nma Ordu, President Tinubu used the state’s protracted political instability as justification for his action.

Several influential political individuals and groups have widely criticized the suspension, including Rotimi Amaechi, Peter Obi, the Nigeria Labour Congress, the Nigerian Bar Association, the NBA, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
