The groom, family, and friends were left stranded after the bride absconded, abruptly ending the wedding ceremony.
Originally set for December 27, 2024, at COCIN LCC, PIL Gani in the Langtang North Local Government Area of Plateau State, Nansik Dashe and Kapnan Ventur’s wedding did not go through since she took to her heels.
The bride-to-be reportedly changed her mind and went away on December 26th, leaving the groom, bridesmaids, family, and friends behind, according to family sources who spoke on condition of anonymity.
But according to reports, Dashe came back two weeks after the unsuccessful marriage ceremony.
It was discovered that she went back to her father’s home rather than her husband’s, who had paid the dowry and performed all the customary marriage rituals—with the exception of the church wedding, from which she fled.
Speaking to our correspondent, the main bridesmaid stated that she has only spoken to her once since her return and that “she is not saying much,” merely that she has changed her mind about getting married and is no longer interested in carrying out the wedding.
At the time this report was filed, attempts to contact Dashe and her estranged husband-to-be had failed.
