At his home in Daura, Katsina State, last-minute arrangements for former President Muhammadu Buhari’s funeral have begun.

Ahead of Buhari’s final burial, some laborers have been spotted excavating his grave as dignitaries arrive at the former president’s home.

Buhari’s last resting place is a garden within his Daura property.

Buhari, a democratically elected president and former military head of state, passed away in a London clinic on Sunday.

Vice President Kashim Shettima was then dispatched by President Bola Tinubu to London in order to return Buhari’s remains to Nigeria.

The corpse and its entourage have already arrived Nigeria.
