Grammy Award-winning Nigerian artist, Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, delivered a standout performance during the trophy parade for England’s Women’s Euro champions at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
The acclaimed singer took the stage alongside the Lionesses, who clinched the European title by defeating Spain 3-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in extra time. Burna Boy performed his popular track For My Hand, which features British pop star Ed Sheeran.
His dynamic performance energized the crowd of over 100,000 fans gathered to celebrate the victory. England coach Sarina Wiegman and the players were seen dancing and enjoying the lively atmosphere.
Burna Boy previously made headlines in 2023 when he became the first African artist to perform at a UEFA Champions League final. He and Brazilian singer Anitta were the main acts at the official Kick-Off Show for that year’s final.
