Bye Elections: APC fixes date for screening committee inauguration

Ahead to the next legislative bye-elections, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it will establish its screening and appeal committees on Monday, July 14, 2025.

On Saturday, the APC’s official X handle sent a statement that included this information.

The update states that by 9 a.m., committee chairmen and secretaries would be sworn in at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

The screening exercise will begin at 10 a.m. at the Amor Hotel in Katampe, which is across from Aso Radio, following the inauguration.

The complete list of the Senate, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly screening and appeal committees was also made public by the APC.

“These committees will be responsible for screening aspirants contesting in the bye-elections across various states,” the APC stated.

“Some of the committees include: State House of Assembly Screening Committee I led by Hon. (Mrs.) Dorah D. Ebong, House of Representatives Screening Committee I chaired by Arc. Waziri Bulama, Senate Screening Committee headed by H.E. (Barr.) Ibrahim S. Shema.”
