Delta North Senator Ned Nwoko says he has no intention of leaving the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In response to recent rumors that the senator intended to defect, Leonard Esegbue, the former commissioner and director general of the Ned Nwoko Campaign Organization, provided the clarification.
He characterized the purported APC defection as the result of “mischief makers” who were envious of Nwoko’s growing political power.
He emphasized that there is no conflict between Nwoko and President Bola Tinubu, assuring Delta North constituents and Nigerians in general that the senator is still totally dedicated to the ruling party.
Nwoko is a fervent supporter of the President’s reelection campaign, and Esegbue clarified that the rumors were intended to foment division ahead of the general elections in 2027.
“The rumours are baseless and only serve to create unnecessary tension. Senator Nwoko is fully aligned with the APC’s mission and will continue to pursue his political agenda within the party,” Esegbue said
He emphasized that any future political decisions or announcements concerning Nwoko will be made within the framework of the APC and urged people who were propagating the rumors to participate in substantive political discourse rather than disseminating untrue information.
