American rap star Cardi B has responded to increasing speculation about her relationship with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye after the pair were recently seen together in public.

The Grammy Award-winning musician, who was recently spotted having dinner with Okoye and a group of friends at Gio’s Restaurant inside the St. Regis Hotel in Venice, voiced her frustration over what she described as the constant attention on her private life.

Speaking in a video making the rounds online, Cardi B said she feels her personal activities attract far more public scrutiny than those of many other celebrities.

According to her, routine aspects of her life frequently become topics of public discussion, while similar situations involving other public figures often go unnoticed.

“No cap, I’m really hip hop’s Britney Spears. I got all the tea on these celebrities. I know who’s with who and what’s doing what. But guess what? Nobody reports about it because nobody cares.

“But when it comes to me, I can’t even do anything without people talking about it. This is crazy. You’ve got to take the good with the bad. It is what it is. People pay for this type of talk,” she said.

Cardi B’s remarks come amid mounting rumours about the nature of her relationship with Okoye after the duo were seen together on several occasions, including at Paris Fashion Week and during a recent outing in Venice.

Neither Cardi B nor Okoye has publicly confirmed being in a romantic relationship despite the growing speculation across social media platforms.
