According to Lille attacker Jonathan David, Liverpool is now the greatest team in the world.

David talked after Liverpool defeated Lille 2-1 at Anfield on Tuesday in the Champions League.

Mohamed Salah gave Liverpool the lead in the thirty-fourth minute.

Just after the hour, David then gave Lille the equalizer.

But the Premier League leaders won a few minutes later thanks to a goal from Harvey Elliott.

After winning their first seven games, the win guaranteed Arne Slot’s team a spot in the Champions League knockout stages.

After the match, David spoke and praised Liverpool’s performance.

He told Prime Video Sport:

“I think they are the best team in the world right now.”
