Middlesbrough’s manager, Michael Carrick, is thrilled about the arrival of Kelechi Iheanacho at the club.
Iheanacho joined Boro on a six-month loan from La Liga’s Sevilla on Monday night. The Nigerian forward is returning to England after previous spells with Manchester City and Leicester City.
Carrick expressed his excitement, saying, “Obviously delighted Kelechi is joining us. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to make it in time for tonight, but he will be a key player for us and have a significant impact,” according to Sky Sports.
He also mentioned, “We have some strong attacking players. We’ll have a solid week of training and settle everyone down before we move forward.”
Iheanacho is expected to make his debut for Middlesbrough in their match against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Wednesday, February 12.
