Fame changed everything? Rapindady makes fresh claim about Mr Remote

Nigerian comedian and MC, Jolomi Rapheal Oluwafemi, popularly known as Rapindady, has accused content creator Mr Remote of allegedly ignoring him after becoming famous.

Rapindady made the allegation in a video from a recent interview that has been shared on social media.

When asked about his current relationship with Mr Remote, who reportedly lived with him before gaining fame, Rapindady responded, “Alagbara ma niyen ni tie.”

Recounting how he accommodated Remote when the content creator reportedly had challenges with accommodation, Rapindady challenged him to “come out to say what I did wrong.”

The comedian’s remarks have since drawn attention online, raising fresh questions about the relationship between the two entertainers following Mr Remote’s rise to fame.

“I don’t want to talk much about Remote because he’s someone I’ve loved so much from the beginning. I can’t say he’s being childish. He stayed in my place at one point. I can’t remember how many months he spent in my house when he had accommodation issues at the time.

“I was still single, and I was staying in a three-bedroom apartment. And when he came, we shot a few skits at the time. He told me a lot about many people in the industry. Now, ever since Remote blew up and relocated to Lagos, he stopped picking my calls. And I wish he could come out to say what I did wrong.

“You stayed in my house and I did not chase you out. You left on your own. I just want to believe that fame has gotten to him. I’m not the only one complaining. A lot of people who also helped him in the past are also complaining. Anytime I call him, he keeps telling me he’s on set. That was five years ago, and after that, I stopped calling him.”
