According to reports, a woman turned down a remote employment offer of $4,000 a month because her husband was worried about possible marital problems and discomfort.
Social media influencer @jon_d_doe posted the story, pointing out that the woman is working for a PhD and recently secured a high-paying remote job in Nigeria.
Her husband, a successful businessman with a master’s degree, expressed his dissatisfaction of the job offer despite the enticing income.
According to the influencer’s follow-up, the woman chose to turn down the offer since her husband was concerned that the job would cause friction and harm their relationship.
“A married man whose wife is a PhD student… she just got a job offer that would pay her $4,000 per month. But she’ll be working from Nigeria,” the post read. “The man has a master’s degree and is doing well financially. He doesn’t want her to take the job.”
