The University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) has launched a cultural exchange centre called “Window to China,” established by the Chinese Government. The centre aims to promote educational and cultural cooperation between China and Nigeria.

Chinese Consul-General in Lagos, Ms Yan Yuqing, inaugurated the facility, stating, “The Window to China Centre will provide students, researchers, and faculty with opportunities to engage in education, technology, language, and innovation.” She added, “The cultural exchange centre is more than just a building; it is a gateway to learning, dialogue, and enhanced engagement between our nations.
UNIPORT Vice Chancellor, Prof. Owunari Georgewill, expressed gratitude to the Chinese Government, noting, “This Window to China Centre represents a timely and forward-thinking approach to deepening our partnership.”

The centre will host various activities, including exhibitions, language classes, academic seminars, and cultural events, to strengthen Nigeria-China relations.
