Rev. Job Ayuba Bagat, President of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), has expressed appreciation to God for keeping Nigeria united despite the economic hardship, insecurity, political uncertainty, social friction, and moral decay that defined 2025.

In his Christmas message to the nation, Bagat said, “As we celebrate Christmas, let us remember that Christ is still found by those who seek Him sincerely, not in noise or material abundance, but in humility, obedience, holiness, and love.”

He thanked the Almighty Father for keeping the country together in the face of overwhelming problems in Nigeria, claiming to have seen the hand of protection, provision, and unity.

As the country enters the year 2026, he said that God is asking on all Nigerians to strengthen spiritual alertness and faithfulness to disgrace the intentions of those preparing evil in the country, believing that the Almighty Father will protect and guide the leaders of the land in the way of righteousness in order to prosper the country.

He stated that as families face rising living costs, young people face uncertainty, and communities yearn for peace and justice, the Church must shine brighter than ever. He emphasized that the Church is called to be a beacon of hope, a people who seek God diligently and remain spiritually awake.

He urged Nigerians, “Let us not lose heart. The same God who has kept us thus far will carry us forward. The darkness of our times cannot overcome the light of Christ shining through His Church.”
