Chrysalis Care Initiative (CCI) has embarked on a mission to empower vulnerable children and youth across Africa, with a focus on inclusion and empowerment.
As part of this mission, CCI visited the Diamond Centre for Children Living with Disabilities in Ayobo, Lagos, on January 3, 2025, donating essential items such as mobility aids, educational materials, and recreational supplies tailored to meet the needs of the children.
In a similar vein, CCI hosted its inaugural “Moment to Remember 1.0” event at Compassionate Orphanage in Isheri, Lagos, on December 21, 2024.
The event brought together children from Precious Pearls Orphanage and Last Hope Orphanage, creating a vibrant community of joy and learning. Donations at the event included mini libraries filled with books to foster literacy, as well as arts and crafts materials to inspire creativity
The event also featured calligraphy sessions, mental health workshops for caregivers, and a symbolic “Tree of Greatness,” where children and caregivers added green thumbprints as a pledge to strive for greatness despite challenges.
According to Kafayat Azeez-Fashola, Founder and Director of Operations at Chrysalis Care Initiative, “Every child is special, and it is important to show them their worth and remind them how much they matter. At Chrysalis Care Initiative, children and youth are our utmost priority because they represent the future of our world. Through CCI’s ‘Moment to Remember,’ the organisation aims to create memories and opportunities for growth, healing, and connection.”
As a non-governmental organization, Chrysalis Care Initiative is dedicated to providing educational resources for underserved children, access to free counseling and psychological support, and advocacy for child survivors of traumatic experiences
