Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso highlighted Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold following his team’s 1-1 draw with Al Hilal in the FIFA Club World Cup on Wednesday.
Alonso emphasized that both players will play a key role for Real Madrid in the future.
The Spanish manager also praised them for making their first appearances for Los Blancos.
Both Huijsen and Alexander-Arnold joined Real Madrid this summer, transferring from Bournemouth and Liverpool respectively.
Speaking after Real Madrid’s draw with Al Hilal, Alonso said at his post-match interview: “I want to congratulate Dean and Trent for their debut, this is a special day for them, and they’ll be very important for us.”
He added, “Raul Asencio really struggled with the heat, that is why he was subbed off.”
Real Madrid’s upcoming fixture in the Club World Cup will be against Pachuca on Sunday.
