The Nation claims that on the day of Sallah, a soldier by the name of Sudik amputated the fingers of Abdulrahman Salisu, a shoe vendor, at his store close to Jolly Bread in Minna, Niger State.
According to Abdulrahman, Sudik visited his store to buy a pair of shoes and stated that he paid for them by bank transfer. But according to Abdulrahman, he hasn’t gotten the payment notification yet.
When Abdulrahman requested that the money be paid, Sudik pulled out a cutlass and swung it at his head, escalating the conflict brutally.
Abdulrahman lifted his left hand to defend himself, severely injuring three fingers in the process.

Sudik and two colleagues left the scene while Abdulrahman screamed for help.
Later, Abdulrahman informed the closest police station about the occurrence. Since then, it has been verified that security forces have detained Sudik, and Abdulrahman is being treated at Minna’s IBB Specialist Hospital.
Following this incident, business owners and traders from the Obasanjo Shopping Complex, Jolly Bread, and Mobil roundabout have voiced their worries about the increased rates of armed robbery and violence in the neighborhood.
Because they live in continual fear, they are calling on the state government to strengthen security measures.
