Dangote Refinery has reduced its ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) for the second time in two weeks. The refinery’s new price template, effective July 8, 2025, sets the price at N820 per litre, down from N840 per litre.
The refinery announced the price cut through its X account, stating, “Our new ex-depot price for Premium Motor Spirit is now N820 per litre, effective July 8, 2025.
This development is expected to impact the fuel market, following the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited’s recent price adjustment to N910 per litre in Abuja. Dangote Refinery’s retail partner, MRS filling station, has also adjusted its petrol price to N905 per litre in Abuja and N895 per litre in Lagos State.
The refinery’s price cut is a significant move in the industry, and stakeholders are eagerly watching for further developments. As the market responds to the new pricing, consumers may benefit from increased competition and potentially lower fuel prices
