The claim that Dangote Refinery sells gasoline for between N1, 015 and N1, 028 per litre was labelled as false on Saturday.
According to reports on Friday, some oil marketers stated that the price of gasoline produced by the Dangote Refinery ranged from N1, 015 to N1, 028 per litre.
They said that since the landing cost was N978.01 per litre as of October 31, 2024, it would make sense to import the goods from the overseas market.
Dangote Group responded to the development by calling the accusation “fake news” on its X handle.
According to ZINGTIE, the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, asserted that as of last week, the price of fuel from Dangote Refinery was more expensive than elsewhere.
This was said by IPMAN’s National Assistant Secretary Yakubu Suleiman on Friday during an interview with Arise Television’s Morning Show.
Suleiman claimed that IPMAN members would travel to places with lower prices and higher profits, adding that they must feel sorry for Nigerians.
