Davido finally reunites with daughter Imade after custody battle

Nigerian music star Davido has reunited with his first daughter, Imade Adeleke, following months of legal tension surrounding her custody.

The reunion comes amid an ongoing custody dispute between Davido and his first baby mama, Sophia Momodu.

The artist had taken legal action in April 2024, filing a suit at the Lagos State High Court to seek custody rights over his daughter, accusing Sophia of preventing him from seeing her.

In her defense, Sophia submitted a 102-paragraph counter-affidavit, in which she alleged that Davido withdrew from his parental responsibilities after she refused to continue a sexual relationship with him.

Amid the public fallout, veteran journalist and Sophia’s uncle, Dele Momodu, took to Facebook to share that the court had recommended the matter be handled through alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in an effort to avoid prolonged litigation.

Despite the legal tensions, a positive turn occurred on Wednesday night when Davido shared a heartwarming photo of himself with Imade, describing the moment as the “Best day of my life.”

The development has drawn widespread attention from fans and observers hoping for an amicable resolution between the two parents.
