Isaac Fayose, younger brother of former Ekiti State governor Ayo Fayose, has disclosed that the 15-year-old girl mentioned in a controversial video involving musician Speed Darlington is preparing to lodge a formal complaint with the police.

The controversy began after Speed Darlington popularly known as Akpi stated during a live session on Instagram that he had engaged in a sexual act with a minor. Although he later retracted the statement, claiming it was a publicity stunt to generate buzz for his new music release, public backlash has continued, with many Nigerians demanding a full investigation.

In a video posted to his Instagram page, Isaac Fayose confirmed that the girl in question has been identified and is set to officially report the incident to the authorities, thereby prompting the necessary legal steps.

Speaking passionately in the clip, Fayose criticized the lack of legal enforcement in the country, saying, “Nigeria is the most lawless nation in the world. Even our children the value they are getting now is so low. No law at all…”

His comments add to the growing outrage over the case, as many believe it reflects a deeper societal issue regarding accountability and the protection of minors, especially when public figures are involved.

“How can we operate a lawless nation? The latest saga is Akpi, Speed Darlington coming on a live video to say he slept with an underage, 15-year-old girl. Wow! What a sad moment in our country. He made the confession on Children’s Day. Where is the protection for our children?

“Akpi was thinking it was a joke, but unfortunately for him, we now have a victim coming forward tomorrow to write a statement at the police station with her mother. Akpi, you’re going to be the latest pedophile in Nigeria. You’re going to join the likes of R. Kelly. You have been joking about Diddy’s baby oil scandal, but now you’re a victim of your oil. We got someone coming up tomorrow to write a statement against you. And I believe that the relevant agencies, international communities are watching you, I’m currently in Dubai, people are talking about it. This one, you can’t sweep it under the carpet.”
