David Adeleke, a singer from Nigeria who has been nominated for a Grammy and is widely known as Davido, has discussed his feelings about his loss at the Grammy Awards.

The artiste acknowledged in a post on his Instagram account that the loss had a profound effect on him and that he was disinclined to go to the after-party.

He disclosed, though, that his spouse Chioma was a source of encouragement for him and helped to rebuild his confidence through her words of reassurance.

Davido conveyed gratitude for her steadfast backing, labeling her his “ride or die.”

”I said baby listen we lost again let’s not go she said ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat’ we outside. My ride or die. She dey my back, active geng,” he wrote.

In a separate post, Chioma replied by reaffirming her love and confidence in him.

”You already know that you’re the perfect one,” she wrote.

At the Grammy Awards Ceremony on Sunday, Davido lost to South African star Tyla in the Best African Music Performance category.
