Davido Under Fire After What Fans Noticed at Soso Soberekon’s Wedding

Afrobeats superstar, Davido, has come under heavy criticism on social media over his absence from the wedding ceremony of billionaire music executive and longtime associate, Soso Soberekon.

ZINGTIE reports that Soso Soberekon tied the knot during a lavish wedding ceremony held in Warri, Delta State, over the weekend.

Davido was conspicuously missing from the event, drawing the attention of fans and observers.

The singer also did not share any congratulatory message or celebrate the newlyweds on his social media platforms.

Instead, he made posts about his trip to Dubai with members of his team, as well as the forthcoming governorship election in Osun State.

Reacting to the situation, many Nigerians criticised the singer, while a few supporters defended him, suggesting he might have been out of the country or occupied with work commitments.

Expressing his disappointment, comedian DeeOne said, “With all the things wey Soso Soberekon don do for David, na David supposed to arrange chairs for that wedding.

“Davido is a terrible human being off social media. You did not attend the wedding, and none of you crew or family members represent you at the wedding. You could not even tweet ‘happy married life Soso’.

“Davido is jealous of Soso Soberekon because Soso is richer than him. David don’t want anybody to be ahead of him. He wants you to do well but not more than him.”

Similarly, the Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, Ossai Ovie Success, criticised the singer in a post on Instagram.

“I’m disappointed in Davido and Chioma for not attending Soso’s wedding.

“The fact is, Soso Soberekon has done so much for Davido in the last few years,” he wrote.

Another social media user, identified as @sinistersmaf511, also questioned the singer’s absence, writing, “This Davido sometimes I no understand am. Why e no go Soso marriage.”
