Davido’s hypeman, Spesh attacks Grammy after he lost the award

Special Spesh, Davido’s hype man, has criticized the Grammy organizers for letting his boss and other Nigerian nominees walk away empty-handed.

According to ZINGTIE, Tyla, the only non-Nigerian contender in the inaugural Best African Music Performance category, won the 66th Grammy Awards on Sunday, beating out Davido and other Nigerian nominees.

Spesh expressed his annoyance by claiming that the Grammy organizers were attempting to restrict African music and vowed that Africans would not provide them the authority to diminish Afrobeats or any other African genre.

On his Instagram page, he wrote: “We won’t give you the power to dumb Afrobeats down or Afrofusion or anything African!

“That’s (white) America’s problem! When things start to take over and get massive, they always want a part, then try to have a say, then try to control.”
