Defection: APC makes fresh promises to Akwa Ibom’s Gov Eno

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno has received the entire backing and cooperation of the ruling All Progressives Congress, or APC.

In a statement released on Monday, Victor Giadom, the party’s National Vice-Chairman (South-South), granted this assurance while welcoming the governor and other PDP defectors to the party.

He asserted that Governor Eno’s choice to join the APC was not only well-timed but also a calculated action that will increase cooperation with the federal government and open up more social and economic prospects for Akwa Ibom State’s rapid development.

“President Bola Tinubu’s bold and unprecedented policy reforms implemented under the Renewed Hope Agenda have continued to draw massive appeal among leaders and people of the South-South region who are keen to work with Mr President and our great party for the full actualisation of the agenda for the progress of the region and the country,” Giadom said.

He also promised the governor and his hordes of supporters that the zone would win a landslide election in 2027.
