Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno has characterized his choice to join the All Progressives Congress, or APC, as a calculated action taken for the state’s benefit.
After revalidating his membership in Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium LGA, Eno spoke to reporters and said he was very happy with his choice to join the APC.
“I am fully satisfied with the choice I have made,” he said.
On August 4, the governor began a month-long campaign to register APC members in every ward in the state.
According to him, the program’s goal is to detect real party members and stop impersonation among party members.
Eno clarified that the continuous practice would improve grassroots mobilization and streamline the party’s internal structure.
The governor urged new members of the APC to stay focused and ignore detractors as he greeted them.
He emphasized that unity and teamwork are essential to advancing the APC and asked party members to support President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
