The Itsekiri Youths for Good Governance have publicly expressed strong confidence in Collins Edema, urging him to consider contesting for the Delta South Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections. In a detailed press statement, the group praised Edema’s leadership qualities, highlighting his humility, sense of duty, and track record of service as key attributes needed for effective representation in the region.

The group acknowledged Edema’s current role as the Sole Representative of the Olu of Warri to NNPCL and its joint venture partners, noting that their appeal is not meant to distract him from his responsibilities. Instead, they described their call as a reflection of the growing demand among Delta South constituents for purposeful, visionary, and selfless leadership that prioritizes the collective good of the people.

While Edema has stated that he has not yet made a decision regarding the 2027 elections, the youths interpret his position as a hopeful sign that he remains open to the possibility. They reaffirmed their unwavering support and encouraged him to continue consultations, expressing confidence that he will ultimately consider the aspirations of the Delta South people in his decision-making process.
