Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has shared that physical attractiveness alone cannot guarantee a lasting relationship.
Reflecting on her earlier years, the actress opened up about how she was frequently admired for her looks and charm.
Now at 48, she candidly admits that despite her striking appearance, she is still unmarried.
“I used to be the centre of attention, the most admired, the most talked about in my youthful days. Beauty opened many doors. I was loved, I was desired,” Vanguard quoted her as saying. “But guess what? I’m still not married.”
Adunni emphasized that her unmarried status is not due to a lack of value, pointing out that beauty by itself doesn’t ensure a successful relationship.
She also revealed that some men were interested in her appearance rather than her true self.
“Some came for the face, not the soul. Some wanted the shine, not the substance. I learned the hard way that a woman must be more than just beautiful,” Adunni expressed.
As a mother of one, she encouraged women to invest in personal growth, strong values, and inner resilience.
