Edo: Police nab members of State Security Network over alleged murder

Operatives of the Edo State Security Network (ESSN) have been taken into custody by Edo State Police Command operations in relation to the death of one Omobude.

According to ZINGTIE, Funsho Adegboye, the State’s Commissioner of Police, informed reporters in Benin of this.

Adegboye claimed that after a brawl with the dead, one Hassan Haladu invited the personnel of the State’s Security Network.

He claimed that upon the ESSN’s arrival at the fighting scene, they tied the deceased, who subsequently passed away from suffocation.

He continued by saying that the Ikpoba Hill Divisional Headquarters operatives descended on the area and arrested six suspects after receiving the information.

The commissioner stated that while the investigation is ongoing, the deceased body has been placed at Our Clinic Hospital for an autopsy.

Adegboye also revealed the recent covert cult-related murders in the state, including the arrest of one Akhere Solomon, an alleged serial killer.

He stated that when the command received a complaint about an alleged murder case from a man named Samuel, the suspect was taken into custody.

According to the commissioner, the complainant had requested that his brother’s purported gunshot death by thugs who were maybe cult members be ordered.

He clarified that the suspect had admitted to being a member of the Eiye secret cult fraternity and having taken part in the recent secret cult killings in the state, and that the command’s agents had taken immediate action in response to the appeal. He said that more members who are escaping are being sought after.
