Social media influencer, VeryDarkMan, again arrested by Police

Martins Vincent Otse, also known as Verydarkman, is a well-known social media influencer who was detained by the Nigeria Police Force.

According to reports, VeryDarkMan was taken into custody at the direction of Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Command, Igwe’s Police Commissioner.

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju stated in an interview with ZINGTIE on Sunday that VeryDarkMan was detained for allegedly exposing a Nigerian who had allegedly deceived someone overseas.

Adeyanju claims that the controversial social media personality was detained due to accusations of defamation.

He said: “Our client, @thatverydarkman has just been arrested by the police on the instruction of CP Igwe for exposing someone who allegedly duped a Nigerian abroad.

“Instead of the police to arrest the person alleged to have duped someone, they arrested VDM on allegation of defamation.”
