The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has taken well-known Lagos entrepreneur and socialite Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, popularly referred to as E-Money, into custody over suspected currency-related offenses.
According to EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, the arrest occurred on Monday night at E-Money’s home in the Omole area of Lagos. The action followed an event where he was reportedly seen spraying U.S. dollars.
Sources revealed that an initial investigation is already underway, and legal proceedings are expected to follow once the inquiry is completed.
When contacted, the EFCC spokesperson simply said “The report is true, he was arrested last night.”
