Lawmakers are pleased with Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji’s (BAO) performance and are prepared to back his reelection agenda, according to Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye.

He made this statement on Thursday at the Governor’s Office in Ado-Ekiti, where the worldwide leadership of the Ekiti State University Alumni Association Solidarity Group presented the governor with his Expression of Interest and Nomination Form.

In what many called an unusual gesture, the EKSU alumni earlier this week bought the forms for the governor at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.

Aribasoye characterized Governor Oyebanji as a guy of vision and strategic thinking in his remarks during the ceremony, stating that he has gained the support of both the public and politicians with his integrity and amiable conduct

He claimed that it was really impressive that different organizations tried to buy the form for the current governor at roughly the same time, demonstrating the public’s high regard for him and degree of faith in him.

Aribasoye noted that the governor has an advantage in the current Ekiti political landscape due to his outstanding performance and execution in crucial areas.

The Speaker emphasized that BAO is a marketable and sellable political product and urged party members to make sure the product is well-projected for continuity and electoral success. He claimed to have received excellent comments on Oyebanji on numerous occasions when he traveled outside the state.

He urged party members to return to their local government units and wards with a strong and organized campaign for Oyebanji, the APC’s candidate for governor of Ekiti State.

In his speech, the governor, meantime, promised to oppose any attempt by certain political gladiators to sow discord inside the party, pointing out that their alleged goal was not to undermine the harmony and advancement of the party or the state as a whole.

The Director-General of the EKSU Alumni Solidarity Group for BAO, Dipo Bamisaye, justified the purchase of the forms for the governor by stating that the action was in response to the enormous progress Oyebanji had made in the state in all areas.
