The management of Ekiti State Polytechnic, Isan-Ekiti, has announced the appointment of Mrs. Abimbola Adewumi as the institution’s new registrar.
According to a statement issued by the Polytechnic’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Martins Olowoyo, on Thursday, Adewumi will take over from the outgoing registrar, Mr. Oluwagbenga Olorunsola, whose term ends on March 2.
New Registrar’s Profile
Mrs. Adewumi brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having worked in various capacities within the polytechnic system for 27 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education (English) degree from Lagos State University (LASU) and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Afe Babalola University, Ado Ekiti.
Adewumi is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM), Institute of Corporate Administration (ICAD), Institute of Strategic Management, and the Association of University Administrators.
Prior to her appointment, Adewumi served as Director, Academic Affairs at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti. She also held various positions, including Deputy Registrar, Continuing Education Centre, Deputy Registrar, School of Science and Computer Studies, and Deputy Registrar, Head, Human Resources Division, at the Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti.
Appointment Takes Effect:
Adewumi’s appointment takes effect from March 3, as stated in the release.
