El-Rufa’i not our leader – Kogi SDP declares

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) Kogi State Chapter has denied reports that Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, is now in charge of the party.

The party reaffirmed its commitment to its 2027 electoral objectives and its unity under National Chairman Shehu Gabam in a statement released by Publicity Secretary Isaiah Davies Ijele.

El-Rufai was recognized by the SDP as a valued member who supported the party’s initiatives.

He said, “The SDP remains united under the leadership of our esteemed National Chairman, Shehu Gabam, and we are committed to working together to achieve our shared goal of rescuing Nigeria in the 2027 elections.”

Attributing the false rumors to opposition parties worried about the SDP’s increasing popularity, the SDP urged the public to ignore them.
