Electoral imbalances fueling tensions in Warri Federal Constituency – Aniagwu

There are disparities in Warri Federal Constituency and a few other places in Nigeria, according to Delta State Commissioner for Information Mr. Charles Aniagwu. Aniagwu made the announcement during a live broadcast on AriseTV News.

According to him, the underlying source of conflicts in the region is these inequities.

According to Aniagwu, “It’s not unexpected, because there were individuals who may have benefitted from the already existing lopsided electoral wards.

“Now, having to address it means they have lost certain advantages they may have been enjoying on account of that imbalance.”

Aniagwu explained that, as human beings, “if certain advantages are in your favour, and at the end of the day, those are corrected for the purpose of equity, that equity may rob you of some undue advantage that previously worked in your favour. And you don’t expect that person to begin to rejoice.”
