A Nigerian woman is emotionally and financially exhausted after her unpleasant encounter with a blackmailer.
The woman, who told her experience on TikTok, disclosed that she had been paying an unidentified person a substantial amount of N150,000 every two weeks to stop them from posting a compromising video online.
The woman, who went by @ genny_chiomzy on TikTok, stated that she had to liquidate her shop and car in order to pay the blackmailer’s demands.
She was left with nothing when she returned to her hamlet, where she told her relatives that she had been duped, but the reality was much darker.
The woman’s money has run out, and she is unable to pay the blackmailer, who is now threatening to make the video public.
Desperate to reveal the truth, she shared her experience on social media in an attempt to increase awareness of the perils of blackmail and the terrible effects it can have on people.
In her words: “I sold my car and shop and came back to the village empty handed because I have been paying a blackmailer N150k every two weeks not to post my video online. Told my family I got scammed. I’m posting this because I don’t have N150k to pay anymore and he’s threatening to release the video.”
