Ripple, a financial infrastructure and blockchain provider, has pledged $25 million to support classroom teachers across the United States through partnerships with Teach for America and DonorsChoose. A significant portion of the funds will be allocated in Ripple USD (RLUSD), the company’s stablecoin, a type of cryptocurrency backed by the US dollar.

The grant, announced at the start of Teacher Appreciation Week, aims to bridge the resource gap for teachers and school staff in the K-12 education system. It will support thousands of classroom projects, teacher requests, Teach for America’s Ignite tutoring program, and a national STEM Innovation Challenge
Teach for America CEO Aneesh Sohoni expressed gratitude for the partnership, stating, “This funding will expand our Ignite Tutoring Fellows program, drive innovation in our Reinvention Lab, and provide crucial financial assistance to thousands of new corps members during their teacher preparation.” Sohoni added, “With Ripple’s partnership, we’re advancing our mission to ensure every child has access to an excellent education and the opportunity to thrive.”
