Ugochukwu Agballah, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in Enugu State, has been expelled
Agballah and individuals it described as self-proclaimed leadership members were removed for egregious wrongdoing, according to the party’s state chapter.
High Chief Charles-Solo Akor, the state publicity secretary, and Alphonsus Onyeachonam Nwafor, the interim state chairman, signed a statement containing their dismissal.
Agballa and other expelled members, according to the party, have repeatedly disregarded court orders prohibiting them from posing as party executives.
According to the statement: “The leadership of APC Enugu State Chapter do hereby officially expel Ugochukwu H. Agballah, Augustine Alumona, Jude Chinedu Aniogbo, Moses Emeka Eze, Sunday Ugwoke, Ugwu Christian Kanayo, Eze Chidiebere Johnson, Queen Charles, and Onyekachi T. Ezeagu from APC Enugu State Chapter.
“They have been flagrantly disobeying the order of the High Court restraining them from arranging, organizing, and holding any meetings as leadership of APC State Executive Committee (SEC) Enugu State Chapter.”
According to the statement, Agballa and those who were expelled took part in a number of actions that weakened the APC in the state.
“This decision reflects our firm stance on accountability and ethical governance. The integrity of our Party is non-negotiable. We will not allow individuals who undermine our mission and principles to remain within our ranks,” it added.
